Hot Dog and Ice Cream Run

This midweek evening event will offer an opportunity for dinner, a brief (1hr) drive and then dessert (ice Cream) making for a nice summer evening opportunity. Feel free to join in all or just one of these aspects.

The event will start at Hot Dog Johnny's Rt 46 Belvidere NJ where you are welcome to join me for dinner prior to the departure for the drive at 6:15. I will be there at 5 for dinner. There are no formal plans for dinner so join in if you wish and mingle as best you can.

The drive is a 1 hr loop that will have us end at Mackey's Orchard on CR 519 not far away.

Farms & Barns North Jersey

Unleash your Miata on this exhilarating 77.5-mile, 2.5-hour journey through the scenic Ridge and Valley region of Blairstown. This route carves through winding backroads, including the engaging CR 521, offering a mix of challenging turns and breathtaking vistas perfect for top-down driving.

We'll start the drive at Dunkin Donuts at 484 Hope - Blairstown Road Blairstown, New Jersey 07825 and end the drive at 7 Axford Ave, Oxford, NJ 07863, for lunch at Barbara's cafe.

9:30 Gather for the tour

11:30 Rest Break (approx)

12:30 Arrive for lunch (approx)

We will offer 2 registration options, there will be written directions you can print at home created from the route planning tool that are several pages long if necessary.

Embark on a spirited 2 hour, 50-mile journey through the picturesque Hunterdon County countryside, starting at the Panera Bread on Rt 31 in Flemington. This route features engaging stretches of US 202 and NJ 12, with fun roundabouts and winding sections perfect for your Miata. Enjoy the scenic rural vistas and open road thrills.

We will end with lunch at a new automotive oriented BBQ restaurant, Brakes & Briskets. There is good food and plenty of cars and car related decor. Please register to indicate if you are staying for lunch or not.

Miatas on the Back of the Dragon Season 10!!

MBOD#10 for short!! Wow!! 10 years of hosting this event for Autism Awareness. Great roads, great food, great people and a wonderful cause. This is a Fundraising Event, and the registration fee and raffle monies go to a local Autism Society in the area of Country Roads Miatas.

Ground Zero is at Fairfield Inn & Suites Wythville, VA. 200 Marriot Way. There will be a discount for your room when you CALL and make reservations. By all means you can stay elsewhere, there are plenty of options in the area. As soon as you decide if you will be joining, I highly suggest making reservations, so as to have a place to stay. This time of year, in Wytheville is very popular with it being the height of leaf season.

Colossus of Roads 2012 (October 18, 2026)

Colossus of Roads 2012

This run, based on the 2012 version of the Colossus of Roads created by John and Carolyn Ketwig, will begin at McDonald's, Columbia, NJ. The route heads north into Sussex county exploring curves and elevation changes before heading south toward the break. After the break we will wind our way through the countryside of Warren County on our way to Washington, NJ for lunch.

The route explores the farmlands and fun roads of the county with a few interesting sites. John & Carol had some favorite roads with unique names and some unique road elements (bridges?) that will not disappoint. Enzo's Pasta Grill in Washington, NJ will be our target for the end .
