The Delaware Valley Miata club exists to serve the regional Miata community and its membership by organizing activities focused around the Mazda Miata.
As the newly voted in President of our Miata Club I would like to thank all of you. I have been a member of this club for around 6 years and in this time I have got to meet a really great group of members and car owners.
When I first became a member I felt like a fish out of water, I didn't know anybody so it took me a little while to get to know other members. Because of this experience I try to meet new members when I can, and introduce myself. I recommend that we all do this to help new members feel more comfortable and we get to meet new members. When I was just a new member someone in the club told me I hope I like food. Welcome to ride and buffet club. Well as I have learned the four basic things in this club are cars, driving cars, people and oh yes eating. So this is the perfect club for me. Perfect example we just completed the donut run it was a great day to drive eat donuts and mingle with other club members.
I know you all have heard this a million times already but I can't stress this enough. To keep this club or any club or organization going we always need extra help from its members. I Ask that you try to get involved with our club in some capacity. It can just be something small anything will help. At the picnic we asked for help with the Board and several people volunteered to be on the board Thank you Ross and George.
That's enough writing for now, go out and enjoy those cars. A quote from Hill Street Blues: "Let's be careful out there".
