    TWISTY ROADS TO ORLANDO'S

    This drive and destination have proven to be a favorite South Region event the past two years.  This year we'll start at the Hamilton.Marketplace McDonalds located at 855 Marketplace Blvd in Hailton Township.  We'll meet up at 9:00 am and drive away at 9:45.  This start point is much closet to PA for our Central Region friends to join us.  Orlando's is right on Rt 31 making an easy drive home for our North Region friends.

    We have modified the route a bit this year, but we will still go through some of the fun roads in the Hopewell area.  There will be a short comfort stop in Washington Crossing Park about 45 minutes into the drive.   We should arrive at Orlando's a little before noon.  Orlandod's has proven very efficient serving our group, allowing you to get home in time to cut the lawn, or whatever you need to do on Saturday afteernoon.

    Polar Cub Ice Cream Run

    This midweek evening event will offer an opportunity for dinner, a brief (1hr)  drive and then dessert (ice Cream) making for a nice summer evening opportunity.

    The event will start at the Spinning Wheel Diner in Lebanon NJ where you are welcome to join me for dinner prior to the departure at 6:15. I will be there at 5 for dinner. There are no formal plans for dinner so join in if you wish and mingle as best you can.

    The drive is a 1 hr loop that will have us end just east of where we started at the Polar Cub Iced Cream in White House, NJ.

    6:15 Depart on the drive

    7:15 Arrive at Polar Cub Ice Cream

    Revisiting an excursion into the Pocono mountains of PA. This trip is based on a former member's efforts in his neighborhood of PA. 

    We will start in a slightly more accessible location, the Panera Bread in Phillipsburg, NJ. We will cross the Delaware (bring EZ-Pass or get billed) almost immediately and follow the river north for a good distance just short of the Delaware Water Gap. After a brief break we will head Southeast toward the Blue Mountain area. Along the way we will enjoy the sweeping curves, twisty bits and grand view along the route. Lunch will be at the Blue Mountain Resort Slopeside Pub & Grill where every seat will offer a great view.  

     9:30 Gather for the tour 

    10:00 Depart on the drive

    11:30 Rest Break

    12:30 Arrive at Blue Mountain Resort for lunch

    Join us for a scenic ride through the lake-rich highlands of northern New Jersey, exploring winding back roads, serene waters, and shaded park lands. This relaxed drive will highlight some of the region’s reservoirs and natural lakes, with plenty of forest-lined stretches and a waterfront lunch destination to top it all off. 

    We will gather at McDonalds, US-206, Stanhope, NJ 07874 on at 9:30, we will head-out at 10AM. 

    Drive will end at Lola's Waterfront Cocina Latina - Lakeside Ave, Byram Township, NJ 07821.
