Mark your calendars for the 25th Annual Picnic to be held at the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve on Sunday, May 3. This beautiful site is located on Route 32 just south of New Hope proper. There is ample parking around the pavilion and will feature a display of Miatas from every model year.
The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Annual Membership meeting. All members are encouraged to attend to hear what has happened in the past year and what the board is planning for the future. Election of officers will take place as well.
Following the meeting, the activities kick off around noon. The picnic will be catered by Young’s Pig Pickin’ out of Delaware. The fare will consist of pulled pork, smoked turkey, baked beans, salads, fixin’s, and dessert. The only thing you need to bring is your enthusiasm and your Miata, of course! And if you’d like to bring a lawn chair, go ahead!!
Along with the model year display, the Silver Anniversary of Del-Val will be celebrated with members’ club memorabilia. The event also includes recognition of event leaders and retiring board members. There will be giveaways as well as the traditional Mazda goodies.
Please let us know by April 25 if you will be attending so that we order enough good eats to go around! If you have any questions or need further details, contact Denise Balsama at dbalsama@ptd.net.
