Join Anne and I on Sunday, June 30, 2019 for a 70 mile run on rural back roads to the Pagoda in Reading. We will start the run from Emmaus and will return to Emmaus for lunch. The Pagoda was built in 1911 on Mount Penn overlooking the city of Reading. It was built as a hotel and resort but that idea failed. It was almost destroyed during WWII because of anti Japanese sentiment. Fortunately the city of Reading managed save the building. Many of the roads around Reading have been urbanized but I found excellent rural roads for us to enjoy. The view is beautiful.
I hope you will join us; I think you’ll love it!
Start location and time:
McDonalds, 1101 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, PA 18042
10AM, Departure at 1030 AM
(Hint – If traveling on I78 use exit 55 Cedar Crest Blvd. to avoid traffic lights)
If you need to contact us on day of the event, please call Anne, 201-341-6183.
