This year’s Colossus of Roads run is based on John and Carol Ketwig’s 2006 edition. The route has been updated to deal with road condition changes and some new options for a rest break. We have to change the final destination but the event is still fun.

As for the drive itself we will start at the Panera Bread store in Phillipsburg, NJ as the original did. Plan to be there by 9:30 so we can leave by 10:00. Initially we head east in Hunterdon County exploring some very scenic and interesting roads. A left turn takes us north to see what Warren County has to offer and it does not disappoint. Beside more twisty bits and grand views we come upon a trademark of the Ketwig’s runs – unique road names – as we turn onto Shades of Death Road.

In case you missed the original and the first replay be assured the many up and downs connected by ample lefts and rights will delight the driver and passenger as well.

We will wrap up in the parking lot of a shopping center in Hackettstown NJ to allow people to get food and tailgate if desired. You can also bring your own.
