Serving Miata Owners in the Delaware Valley Region
County Route 519 Tour
At just over 88 miles CR 519 is the longest 500 series route in New Jersey. It is a north/south route that runs from NJ 29 near the Delaware River in Stockton to the New York border just east in Port Jervis, where it becomes Mountain Road (Orange CR 55). Despite its length, it is entirely a two-lane undivided road through rural surroundings on which one can travel for many miles without encountering a single traffic light. Listed as one of the most scenic drives in NJ we will cover most of its length on our trip.
Often referred to as one of the most scenic drives in NJ that perspective draws on its history. Parts of today’s 519 replicate the Delaware River Drive created in the Good Roads Era of 1911-1917 to promote and take advantage of New Jersey’s scenic beauty. We will join 519 just west of Flemington, NJ and follow the route north to 206. WE will travel to the Sparta NJ Shoprite Plaza where you can enjoy Jersey Mike';s Subs, Pizza 1 Italian selections or Bubbakoos Burritos.
