Hawks Nest Run (New Drive End)
Just to the west of Port Jervis NY is a fascinating area known as the Hawk’s Nest. The cliff-hugging highway follows the Delaware River, connecting Port Jervis NY to the blue stone village of Hancock. The portion in Sparrowbush has been featured in many car ads.
We will start in Tannersville, PA because Denise Balsama a past president of our club created this run from her Stroudsburg area home. Join Anne and I as we recreate this event in her honor. The Friendly’s in Tannersville offers breakfast to those interested and a large parking area to gather all the Miata’s. We will take just a few fun and interesting roads through northeast PA to the Port Jervis NY area.
We will end our day at Ben's Fresh in Port Jervis NY. Great variety of drive-in style food and ice cream with plenty of outdoor seating plus indoor option.
As usual we will gather at 9:30 and depart at 10:00. For questions contact Curt at csprings52@gmail.com.
We will offer 2 registration options:
Follow the leader – run with the large group
Follow the directions – you will be provided with written directions and a link to the Tourstart GPS app. Form small groups or run by yourself. These drivers will leave 15 min before the large group.
