Serving Miata Owners in the Delaware Valley Region
Lackawanna Bypass
Following much of the famous Lackawanna Railroad route across NJ we will travel the the western boundary of NJ to the middle of northern NJ. The route of the railroad bypassed the conventional routes of other railroads trying to connect NY City and Chicago by bushwhacking across NJ with long concrete bridges, cuts into hills and one gigantic fill that took so much earth a lake was v created where the material was pulled form. On out way our we will cross and recross this route many times above and below the roadbed (some of which is being brought back to life. At the eastern most point we will pause in Stanhope before heading slightly southwest to our final destination, Hot Dog Johnny's (yep 2 runs in a row ending at hot dog places - deal with it).
The remote areas offer some great scenic and amazing man-made scenes on the trip.
We will offer 2 registration options:
Follow the leader – run with the large group
Follow the directions – a link to the Tourstart GPS app and a GPX file to load in to your Garmin or TomTom GPS. Form small groups or run by yourself. These drivers will leave 15 min before the large group.
