When I bought this car, I was told it had a factory installed supercharger and in fact, there is an emblem on the back that looks like from factory saying "supercharged," so, I'm wondering if anyone knows about whether it is true?  One member said no such thing as a factory installed supercharger.

As far as I know, there were only two Miata models available in the US and Canada with forced induction (turbocharger or supercharger).  They are the MazdaSpeed models of 2004 and 2005 that were factory equipped with an exhaust driven turbocharger.  If memory serves, the two models are identical with the exception of the key fob.  There are all types of after-market emblems and script that can easily be applied to any car.  In the past, one could obtain a list of the factory installed options on a specific Miata by emailing the VIN to Mazda North America (mazdausa.com).  I did this with an early NA model to find out if it was equipped with a limited slip differential.  The primary source of Miata information for owners is miata.net.  Look under FAQ.  Also, you could post your question on the so-called big board at forum.miata.net, as well as other Miata club forums listed on miata.net.
