All, last year made a mess of my good intentions! I have only participated in one club event thus far and it's either weather or my schedule that has gotten in the way! So, none of you know me and I am sorry for not having been more active in the club to this point. But, I have been "busy" in a way that might benefit us all...
I have an ND2 club, BBS/Recaro. (To much to list on top of that!)
Thus far I have disassembled and reassembled most of the car and I have installed lots of stuff. To do this I built my own sort of "Miata madness lab" in my home garage.
I have decided to offer my "services" to help you install and uninstall parts for your car. I have a lift and all of the necessary tools for suspension, sway bars, exhaust and interior work. I have also done Vinyl stripes, and body part installs such as spoilers, chin spoilers and splitters. I can also do high quality alignments. (Beyond headers, oil changes and sound tube delete I have not done any other engine work)
Here's the catch. I am happy to help or even install your "stuff" for you. I don't plan to charge anything for the time, service and help other than what you feel you can afford. (You do have to supply the parts and I can help you source that if you would like). I'll even do it for free so long as you "pay it back" in some way to someone down the road. If you do offer to contribute dollars I will agree that all of those funds go into new parts that will be used as test parts that I will review on the forum. I am also asking that if I do help you install stuff that you agree to give me a review of the parts after you have some experience with them.
What do I get? First, I get to meet up with fellow enthusiasts. Second, I get to sharpen my own experience to see what people want and like. Third, this also helps me decide if I want to do custom builds on new cars for resale. Fourth, I get to experience how "good" some of these parts are and compare them based on my own experience. (ie, Ohlin's vs FM Fox suspensions vs others. Greddy, vs Goodwin vs FM exhaust systems etc)
I live in Sparta NJ so I would need you to bring your car here. I would do the work in the evenings or on weekends. (My day job is in the pharmaceutical industry).
If you are interested just shoot me an email or a call and we can discuss your plan. I made up an email address specifically for these communications. It is 7roadsracing@gmail.com (There is no such thing as 7roadsracing so it is not a business. I made it up based on a childhood experience) My phone is 303-304-1172. (I am originally from Colorado).
I look forward to meeting you all. Sorry to miss the polar bear run today. Our roads up here are covered in ice right now.
