I needed a new battery for my 2015 miata
went on line got a recommendation
Deka 8AMU1R. AGM
it is much smaller than my current unit
anyone have any recommendations
That’s the size and type I have in my 1991. You need a size 51.see attached
I bought an Everstart Max (size 51R) for my '06 from Walmart in September for about $150. It comes with a 3 year warrenty. Their batteries get good reviews by Consumers Magazine. I've used the Everstart on several cars now.
Also, 51 and 51R are not the same - the terminals are reversed between them. Putting the wrong one in could cause damage to electronics.
